How-To: Redstone Extender

This is a very simple tutorial on how to build a redstone extender. As many of you guys probably know, redstone can only keep signal for 15 blocks. That's a shame, but luckily there is something to do about it! :-)

As seen on this picture, the signal from the torch is lost at 15 blocks.
To prove it, I've placed a door on the end of the line

How to extend?!
Simply do as I did on this picture.

This time the door gets the signal, since the redstone is...
EXTENDED! :-D

As you might notice, the little piece of redstone between the two blocks is OFF. If the input was turned OFF (the torch in this case), the little piece of redstone would have been ON.

*NOTE*
You can keep extending redstone for as long as you want. There is no limit and the possibilities are countless!
Enjoy! :D

Mine-Overkill?

I had some fun yesterday building a huge mineshaft with my friend, so I felt like snapping a few pictures to share with you guys :-D.

This picture is taken from the entrace to one of the storage rooms.

This is the garbage disposal in the storage room.
It's constructed in a way, so you can't fall into the lava.

This is from the other end of the room.

I hope you liked it! :-)
Please write a comment if you would like to see more Minecraft creativity from me!

New Patch!

Yay!
Finally, Minecraft is version 1.3 :-).

A lot of new cool features are added, including:
- New lightning engine (looks awesome).

- Beds.
- New save-file format, which allows you to have more than 5 saved games!
- New "Graphic options" button.
- Redstone repeater/delay blocks.
- Three new half-sized blocks.

I had to try out the beds, so I made a fast "Master-Bedroom" :-D
This is 2 beds put together, looks sweet :-).

How-To: 1Bit RAM

Hi everyone :-)
This is a tutorial on how to make a simple 1Bit D-FlipFlop (RAM) component in minecraft. It will grant you 2 outputs, which can be used to a lot of awesome things.
The construction itself is pretty simple, but a bit large to be honest.

1) Clear out some space
For this construction, you will need about 10x10 squares of flat space.

2) Build
This is how it should look like (in theory).

"D" is Data and "C" is Clock
Just like in a real bit of RAM
"Q" is outputs

In minecraft it should look like this.

3) Test it
To test it, simply put a door on both of the outputs (Q). You can switch the two outputs on/off by switching the Clock on (C), and then switch the Data (D) on/off.

If it runs properly, the doors should react by opening when they are turned ON and closing when turned OFF.

4) Congratulations!
You have now build your very first 1Bit RAM in Minecraft, show your friends! :-)
